Process description
Application submission
In order to receive a certificate of private practice, an application shall be submitted to the State Education Quality Service, which shall be accompanied by an educational programme, educational documents (if the teacher's data have not been entered in VIIS) and a certificate regarding the proficiency of the official language (for persons who must complete the test of the proficiency of the official language if the data have not been entered in VIIS).
The service is provided for free.

The documents submitted shall be processed, the issuing commission for the issuing Certificate of Private Practice for Teachers shall review the submission of the applicant and take a decision regarding the issuance or refusal of the certificate.Entry of information in the register
Information regarding the decision taken shall be entered in the public register of private practice educators in State education information system (www.viis.lv).
